Spooky season is here and if you're like me, you're trying to balance the chaos of this season with some slow mornings whenever you get the chance. My kids live for slow mornings so when we can sit around in the living room together and read, we all jump at the chance to do so.
One of the best things I did early in my motherhood journey was I put away the holiday or season themed children's books with the holiday decor. That way when the holiday rolled the following year, the books were "like new" to the kids again. It's my favorite "mom hack"! I will add a book or two to the collection every year but that's just because my kids readings levels are all over the place now, ranging between age 9 and 2. Store them in a cute basket and you're good to go!
Below are a few of Theo's favorites right now. He is 2.5 and it's my favorite age by far. Although testing at times, he's also so fun! He's very interested in all things Halloween this year and we are all here for it.

We have about a dozen more but these are his absolute favorites right now. He comes running every slow morning we get and asks to read them together. Time is fleeting, mamas, so push for those slow mornings when you can. Hot coffee in hand and there's literally nothing better. Happy Spooky Season!
